Dr. Kim Sauer received a BS degree from the University of Arkansas in May, 1983. In May 1987, she received her Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Missouri, School of Dentistry. Upon graduation Dr. Sauer began a General Practice Residency Program at the VA Medical Center in La Jolla, CA, which she completed June of 1988. Dr. Sauer then served in the United States Navy as a Dental Corps Officer from September, 1988 to May, 1994. Kim received her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Texas-Dental Branch Houston in 1996.

Dr Sauer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, serves on the Professional advisory board of the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UCSD.

Dr. Sauer enjoys spending time with her husband and five wonderful children.
